  • By now, everyone should have successfully logged in and be diligently working in their courses. Please remember to print a copy of your syllabus for each of your courses in order to have contact information and course policies with you at all times. If you are having difficulty with your course or the technology make sure to contact your instructor(s) and they will guide you how and where to get assistance.
    Some general reminders for success in your online course:
    1. Login regularly (a minimum of 3-5 times per week)
    2. Track deadlines for all assignments (if you have questions about a deadline - ASK your instructor!!)
    3. Check your JSCC email regularly (a minimum of 3-5 times per week)
    4. When in doubt - Ask!! If you have questions about assignment requirements, deadlines, how to submit an assignment, anything that is related to the completion of your work email your instructor, check Q & A forums in your courses, ask other students in the class, do not make assumptions and avoid completing your work. This could result in you being dropped from your course.
    5. Complete your assignments BEFORE the final deadline. Technology may fail, however, this isn't a valid excuse when you have been given a period of time to complete your work. Never wait until the final hour to submit your work!!

    USERNAME: first initial+middle initial+lastname+last 3 digits of student ID
    (Note: if you have a maiden name, this may be used in place of the middle initial)
    PASSWORD: changeme

    Example: Summer Jones King, student ID 1234567
    Username: sjking567 Password: changeme

Did you know email is one of the most commonly used methods used to contact students not only by your instructors but by the admissions and financial aid office?
